Homicide detectives are appealing for witnesses and video in connection with their investigation into a fatal shooting in Grimsby Monday night.
At about 5:30 p.m. Nov. 27, Niagara Regional Police officers were called to a parking lot of a residential condominium building in the area of Concord Place and Windward Drive.
Officers arrived on scene and found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. They provided medical attention prior to paramedics transporting the man to an out-of-region hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing, and detectives are specifically looking for anyone who may have captured footage on their residential or dashcam surveillance systems for the period between the hours of 4 to 7 p.m.

The death is the eighth homicide to be investigated by the NRP in 2023.
On Nov. 3, the body of a woman was discovered in the area of Thundering Waters Boulevard and Marineland Parkway in Niagara Falls during a missing person search. A suspect was arrested in Sudbury several days later.

A charge of first-degree murder was laid against a Lincoln man after police found the body of a woman in a rural area in Vineland on Oct. 11.

On Feb. 26, a 44-year-old Stoney Creek woman was charged with murder and attempted murder following a crash in Grimsby that police said was caused by one driver deliberately colliding with another vehicle — claiming the life of an 82-year-old woman and injuring a 79-year-old man.
Police investigated six murders in Niagara in 2022.
