Residents of the Radison Lane area are free to leave their homes after Hamilton police report they have concluded their search of the neighbourhoods following a Sunday morning shooting.
Around 11:45 a.m., police reported on X (formerly Twitter) that their search of the area was over and asked anyone with information to reach out to them.
About two hours prior, police asked residents of Radison Lane — in the area bound by Bingham Road, Ayr Avenue, Reid Avenue, and Roxanne Drive — to stay indoors as police searched the area for a suspect connected to a 6 a.m. incident where gunshots were fired.

There are no reports of anyone having been wounded.
Police say they were called to the area for possible gunshots and arrested one person for possession of an unauthorized weapon.
A search of the area for a second suspect continued through the morning with police asking residents to stay in their homes shortly before 10 a.m.
While police say they have concluded their search, they did not say if a second arrest had been made.

Police continue to ask anyone with information to contact Detective Dave Brewster at 905-946-4067 if they have any information about the incident. They are also asking area residents to check their security cameras for any footage of suspicious activity between 5:30 a.m. and 6 a.m.
